Glenmorangie was founded in 1843 by William Matheson and has grown to be one of the best-selling Scotch single malt brands in the world. It is located on the outskirts of Tain on the northeast Highland coast and sits on shores of the Dornoch Firth. The distillery is famed for its light, fruity and elegant style of single malt. This is made in the tallest copper pot stills in the Scotch whisky industry, standing at five metres high (16.5 feet). This is the same height as a male adult giraffe. Glenmorangie has been owned by Moet Hennessy since 2004, and they have expanded the distillery and pushed the brand to new targets. It consistently sits in the Top 5 for world sales of scotch single malt whisky.
