Mannochmore was built in 1971 and is near the City of Elgin. It shares the same site as partner distillery Glenlossie. Owned by Diageo, this large distillery has largely served the blending trade and Mannaochmore is a main component of Haig and Johnnie Walker. It occasionally appears as a single malt. Core bottlings are rare and often consist of one expression in Diageo’s Flora & Fauna range. The distillery is also remembered for the fabled Loch Dhu, a short-lived black whisky experiment of the 1990s. Mannochmore’s house style is generally light, grassy and clean, closely aligned with its Speyside neighbours.
