Aaron Damiano Sparkes is the Founder and Chief Executive Officer of 1901 Group. His goal with 1901 Group has been clear from the start: to establish whisky casks as a recognised, institutional-grade alternative asset class and to build the leading global platform within the sector.
Aaron has been central to the professionalisation of whisky cask investment; applying-regulated-industry level discipline, governance and execution to a traditionally relationship-driven market. Under his leadership, 1901 Group has established a differentiated model defined by direct asset access, selective acquisition and active portfolio management which has positioned the company at the forefront of the industry.
As Chief Executive, Aaron retains full authority over strategy, capital allocation and asset selection. He works directly with a concentrated group of ultra & high-net-worth individuals, family offices and institutional partners to ensure absolute alignment and precision across the investment lifecycle.
Aaron is a member of the Forbes Finance Council and holds specialist industry credentials, including WSET and the Edinburgh Whisky Academy diploma.
