As Master of Whisky, Matt has been a key figure in the education and selection process of ours casks. He offers clients an indepth analysis of their casks and liquid through tasting events and literature as well as training all staff within the business. Matt has been instrumental within our independent bottling business, Whisky 1901, helping with cask selection for the award winning lines: The Collection and The Ledger Series.
With an impressive 18 years of experience in the Scotch whisky industry, Matt is globally recognised as an expert in the field. In recognition of his contributions to the Scotch whisky industry, Matt was appointed Keeper of the Quaich in April 2015. This prestigious honour is a testament to his dedication and expertise, making him one of the few influencers and bloggers to receive such recognition.
Matt holds a BA (Hons) in Photography from the University of Plymouth and a WSET Intermediate Level 2 (Wine & Spirits).
